Swagata loves Flan. I do too. Eating a well made Flan can fill you with a certain kind of warm fuzzy. But there is added pleasure when you get to dig into some really good Flan at an airport during a tight connection. For us that airport is Miami International and the restaurant is La Carretta. Many of our travel connections have been purposefully made at Miami solely for this pleasure. After polishing off the Flan, we boarded our evening flight to Panama City with a to-go package of Cuban sandwich and a fish burger. We dined at altitude with a view of a glorious sunset over the Florida Keys.
